CELEBRATION OF ANNA FAY’S LIFE: will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at First Christian Church, 206 North Range St., Oblong, IL . Bro Phil Young will be leading the celebration. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.

Anna Fay Bush, 94, Oblong, IL went to be with her Lord Jesus at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Joliet, IL.
Anna Fay was born in Windsor, IL on September 12, 1921. She was the daughter of William David Herron and Anna Fayette (Kuhl) Herron. On August 8, 1948 she married Arthur “Jack” Bush Jr who preceded her in death on August 17, 1998.
Anna Fay was a devoted teacher for 33 1/3 years. She taught many grades and subjects, especially music and also was a Principal. She taught at several schools through the years including schools in Clay County, IL, Jasper County, IL and Crawford County, IL. Anna Fay was a member of the First Christian Church, Oblong, IL. She also attended Highland Church of Christ, Robinson, IL and Bethany Christian Church. She attended schools in Windsor, IL and graduated from Windsor High School in 1939. She received a Teaching Certificate from Eastern Illinois University, graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1947 and then earned her Master of Science in Education (Administration) in 1971 from Eastern Illinois University. Anna Fay was involved with many organizations over the years including; Oblong City Band Director, Crawford County Camp Fire Girls, Crawford County Fair Judge, Crawford County Home Extension, member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association just to name a few. Anna Fay traveled professionally with Bohumir Kryl’s (member of John P. Sosa Band) Women’s Symphony Orchestra of Chicago, IL, playing the oboe and percussion. Anna Fay traveled the world extensively and even had a group audience with the Pope.
Anna Fay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Craig Randolph of Joliet, IL; her granddaughter Carol Ann Randolph of Joliet, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
